Ethel Dayberry

Ethel Newcomb Dayberry, 87, of Chase City, VA, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Born on December 23, 1924 in Rehoboth, VA, to the late Andrew and Mattie Mae Newcomb. She is survived by two daughters, Esther Morefield and husband, Reverend David Morefield, Sr. of Powhatan, and Suzie Newcomb and husband, Larry of Midlothian; two sisters, Martha N. Clark of Victoria, and Sylvia Jean N. Clarke of Chesterfield; three brothers, William R. Newcomb of Burkeville, Jack Newcomb of Keysville, and Benny Newcomb of Victoria; three grandchildren, David Morefield and wife, Laura, Timothy Morefield and wife, Melinda, and Holly Tinkham and husband, Frank; and six great-grandchildren She was predeceased by her husband, William Dayberry and her granddaughter, Heather Kristin. Newcomb. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery with Reverend David Morefield, Sr. officiating.
