Virginia Roper

Virginia Ruby Newcomb Roper, 93, of Chase City, VA, passed away on November 10, 2012. She was the widow of Robert (Bob) Roper. She is survived by one son, R. Asa Roper and wife, Candy, their children, Brooke and Robert; One dearly loved niece, Sharon Hall and husband, C.I., their children, Kate, Rachel, and Jim; a brother, W.A. Newcomb, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews, and their families. She was a beautician for over 70 years, an employee of Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home for over 69 years, and a Sunday School teacher at Salem Christian Church for 62 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel.
