Merle Johnson

JOHNSON, Merle Huss, 85, of Skipwith, Va., passed away on January 24, 2013. She was born December 3, 1927 in Mecklenburg County, to the late Lloyd and Blanche Huss. She is survived by two daughters, Becky Jackson and her husband, Mark, of Skipwith, Va., and Linda G. Johnson Wilson and her husband, Wayne, of Lexington, N.C.; one son, Alvin L. Johnson and his wife, Sharon, of Boydton, Va.; one brother, Baxter Huss of Chase City, Va.; four grandchildren, Raven Vestal, Danyon Wilson, Keri Clour and Zachary Jackson; and one great-grandchild, Gracie Vestal. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Gray Johnson; one sister, Pauline Newcomb; and two brothers, Clyde Huss and Paul Huss. Funeral services will be held on January 27, 2013, at 3 p.m., at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel, with entombment following at the Woodland Mausoleum. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
