Hubert Letterman

Hubert Vernie Letterman, 82, of Chase City, VA, passed away on July 8, 2013. He was born in South Carolina on September 10, 1930 to the late John and Nellie L. Letterman. He is survived by his two sons, Douglas Letterman and wife, Geraldine of Keysville, and Dallas Letterman and wife, Beanie of Hiddenite, NC; three daughters, Bernice Letterman of Chase City, Sherry Smith of Scottsburg, and Beverly Letterman of Chase City; three adopted daughters, Holly Garren, Christie Dunn, and Melanie Bray; sister, Billie Jean Baldwin of Pamplin; brother, Jackie Letterman of Brookneal; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Ilene O. Letterman and his son, Ellis Letterman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Ralph “Red“ Moore officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
