Darlene Ellis

Darlene Hanson Ellis, 65, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on September 5, 2013. She was born on November 30, 1947 in North Dakota. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Gregory of Chase City, VA; three sons, Jeffrey Watson and his wife, Shelly of Chase City, VA, Danny Watson of Chase City, VA, and Dink Ellis and his wife, Melanie of Chase City, VA; nine grandchildren, Joey Hartrum, Stacey Puryear, Brian Hartrum, Tyler Hartrum, Heather Watson, Jonta Watson, Josh Ellis, Zach Ellis, and Madisyn Ellis; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Donald J. Hanson; her mother, Lillian May Tharpe Hanson; two sisters, Donna Queensberry and Ginny Clay; and her special friend, Peggy McGinnis. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
