Irma Garner

Irma Newcomb Garner, 79, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015. She was born on December 19, 1935 in Charlotte County to the late Edward and Nellie Newcomb. Irma is survived by her daughters, Cynthia G. Gordon of Chase City, Lisa G. Saunders and her husband, Danny of Danville, and Michele G. Lawson and her husband, Buddy of Chase City, three grandchildren, Joshua F. Gordon and his wife, Brooklin, Megan N. Gordon, and Molly K. Lawson, and two great-grandchildren, Alexander F. Gordon and Leah R. Gordon. She is also survived by one brother, Lacy E. Newcomb and his wife, Charlotte of Chase City, one sister, Hilda N. Tharpe of Blackstone and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Garner is predeceased by her husband, Franklin Delano Garner. She is a member of Salem Christian Church. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Salem Christian Church Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, VA.
