Glenda Smith

Glenda Powell Smith, age 61, of Skipwith, Virginia passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was born on October 21, 1954 in Halifax, VA to the late Clifton Eugene Powell, Sr. and the late Eleanor Lorain Rickmond. Glenda is survived by her husband, Donnie Roy Smith, two sons, Kevin Scott Smith and his wife Mary of Chase City and Craig Ryan Smith and his wife Ashlee of Clarksville, five grandchildren, Brandi Thompson and her husband Daniel, Kristopher Smith, Cassie Smith, Emilee Smith and Caleb Smith, and one great-grandchild, Bailey Thompson. She is also survived by her sister, Terry Powell Ingram and her husband Tommy of Halifax, numerous nieces and nephews, and her devoted friend, Lorraine Benson. She is predeceased by her daughter, Crissy Nicole Smith, sister, Kathy Powell Smith, and brother, Clifton Eugene Powell, Jr. Glenda was an employee at T.E. Baugh General Merchandise. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church in Skipwith.
