Helen Whitten Robertson, age 93, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016. She was born on August 30, 1922 in Chase City to the late Joshua Babcock Whitten and the late Elizabeth Ann Crowder Whitten. Helen is survived by one brother, Lloyd Gray Whitten and his wife Hope of Chase City, sister-in-law, Dorothy Clark of Chase City, four nephews, Edwin Whitten and his wife Karen of Chase City, Steve Whitten and his wife Sylvia of Chase City, Timothy Whitten and his wife Dianna of Concord, NC and Glenn Whitten and his wife Sharon of Chase City, and two nieces, Gail Young and her husband Harvey of Lynchburg and Jane Allen and her husband Mike of South Hill. Mrs. Robertson is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Gordon Robertson, two brothers, George Whitten and Clinton Whitten and one sister, Frances Whitten Morris. She retired as a bank teller after 45 years. Helen was a member of First Baptist Church in Chase City where she taught in the children's department for 38 years and was a member of the adult choir for 54 years. She was also a Girls in Action Leader, Chairman of the Elizabeth Hale Circle, and WMU member where she served as secretary for many years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 6 until 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Chase City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
