Elsie Owen

Elsie Campbell Owen, age 81, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. She was born on July 3, 1935 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to the late Eldridge L. Campbell and the late Indie B. Wooton Campbell.

Elsie is survived by two sons, Steve Owen and his wife, Phyllis of Chase City and Lynn Owen and his wife, Kelly of Chase City, five grandchildren, Beau Owen, Zach Owen, Justin Owen, Tonya Dunn and Charles Newcomb, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by one sister, Eleanor Flinn and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Owen is predeceased by her husband, Marvin E. Owen, daughter, Linda Newcomb, and ten brothers and sisters, Arlene Matthews, Ruth Flynn, Eugene Campbell, James Campbell, Barbara Clark, Allen Campbell, Glenn Harris, Cathrine Satterfield, Arnold Campbell and Helen Wilson.

She is a member of First Baptist Church in Chase City. Visitation will be held at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel in Chase City. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
