Joseph Petrizio

Joseph Anthony "Tony" Petrizio, age 68, of Chase City, Va, formerly of New Jersey, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017. He was born on August 17, 1948 in New Jersey to the late Joseph Caesar Petrizio and Helen DeCandio Petrizio.

He retired from A & S Bakery in New Jersey and was a member of Black Branch Baptist Church in Chase City, Va.

He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Dominick Petrizio and Joseph Petrizio; one sister, Rosemarie Petrizio; and devoted friend, Carol Bigger.

Tony is survived by two daughters, Gretchen Bennett and her husband, Frank of Sparta, NJ and Esther Evans and her husband, Shawn of Gasburg, Va; one son, Michael Marron of Stratford, WI; nine grandchildren, George Bennett, Orianna Bennett, Kaydence Gillispie, Elizabeth Pachniak, Anthony Marron, Nadean Marron, Olivia Marron, Michael Marron and Natalie Marron; and two great-granddaughters. He is also survived by two sisters, Josephine Cecchini and Diane Fallon; one niece, Jennifer Revell and her husband, Tommy; two nephews, Michael Smith and Joey Petrizio; and devoted friends, Mattie Crump, John and Mary Govoni, and Curtis Bigger.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Black Branch Baptist Church. A reception will follow in the Church's Fellowship Hall.
