Charlotte Smith

Charlotte Jean Lacks Smith, age 70, of Red Oak, Virginia, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018. She was born February 26, 1947 in Clover, Virginia to the late Simmie Edward Lacks and the late Edith Toombs Lacks.

She was a hair stylist and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Carter and husband, Jonathan of Newport News, VA; two sisters, Joyce Cole and husband, Keenan of South Boston, VA and Linda Howard and husband, Ronnie of Saxe, VA; one brother, Douglas Lacks and wife, Debra of Red Oak, VA; three nephews, Christopher Lacks, David Lacks, and Kevin Cole; and one great-nephew, Karson Cole.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
