Judy Pennell

Judy Gilliam Pennell, age 70, of Skipwith, VA, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018. She was born November 9, 1947 in Wise County, VA to the late Elmer Gilliam and the late Reba Trent Gilliam.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Chase City and former employee of Burlington Industries.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Monroe Pennell and two sisters, Shirl Palmatier and Betty Stidham.

Judy is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Pennell Foreman and husband, John of Henderson, NC and Joni Pennell Newcomb and husband, Anthony of Skipwith, VA; four granddaughters, Rebecca Danielle Foreman, Jessica Hope Foreman, Autumn Nicole Pennell, and Kendall Sierra Newcomb; numerous nieces and nephews; and devoted friends, Tammy and Elic Trent.

Visitation will be held from 7 until 8:30 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2018 at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Chase City.
