Howard Card

Willie Howard Card, age 79, of Wylliesburg, VA, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018. He was born September 27, 1939 in Charlotte County, VA and was the son of the late Alexander and Gladys Card.

Howard was a charter and lifetime member of Bacon District Volunteer Fire Department, a member and deacon of Wylliesburg Baptist Church, and a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge 179. He was a devoted employee for Economy Auto Supply in Wylliesburg.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Alexander Card and Mack Wilson Card; sister, Hilda Card Ferrell; niece, Ellen Stone; and nephew, William Ferrell.

Howard is survived his sister-in-law, Edith Card; nieces and nephews, Randy Card, Tony Card, Clint Card, Glenn Card, Jennifer Lyle, James Ferrell, and David “Shorty” Ferrell; and his special friends, C.C. and Lisa Wilkinson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Wylliesburg Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
