Joyce Pruett

Joyce Anne Poole Pruett, age 82, of Chase City, VA passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019. She was born July 1, 1936 in Charlotte County, VA and was the daughter of the late Albert Poole and the late Betty Lou Watts Poole.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Theoderic Pruett; son, Alan Joseph Pruett; daughter, Rhonda Hostetter; and two sisters, Audrey Willis and Ellen Poole.

Joyce is survived by her two sons, Wayne Pruett and wife, Cara of Chase City, VA and Warren Pruett and wife, Melanie of Chesterfield, VA; daughter-in-law, Robin Pruett; son-in-law, Joe Hostetter; grandchildren, Brad Pruett and wife, Jennifer, Jason Pruett, Jordan Moore and husband, David, Joshua Pruett, Morgan Pruett, and Kelsey Howell and husband, David; and two great-grandchildren, Jake Pruett and Brynn Pruett. She is also survived by her special friends, Gloria Bolick, Jane and Jimmy Dejarnette, Carol Kizer, Bitsy Middleton, and Lillian Card. Joyce loved to play Bingo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
