Frances Stembridge

Frances Trent Stembridge, age 88, of Rustburg, Va, formerly of Chase City, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019. She was born July 27, 1930 in Lynchburg, Va and was the daughter of the late John Henry Trent and the late Willie Ethel Palmer Trent.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Stembridge and two sisters, Kitty Stearnes and Thelma Adams.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Brenda Stembridge Hamlette and husband, Jerry Wayne of Rustburg, Va; three grandchildren, Cheryl Card and fiancé, David Napier, Sherry Williams and husband, Michael, and J.W. Hamlette and girlfriend, Kelsea Jennings; and great-granddaughter, Crystal Card. She is also survived by her brother, Henry Earl Trent and wife, Pat; sister-in-law, Valeria Rickman and husband, Ray; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and all other times at the home of Cheryl Card.
