Jimmy Brewer

James Harold “Jimmy” Brewer, Jr., age 71, of Clarksville, VA, went to Heaven to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2019. He was born February 20, 1948 and was the son of the late James Harold Brewer and the late Mary Brankley Brewer.

He retired from VDOT as the Area Resident Superintendent of Chase City, VA and he was a member of Ephesus United Methodist Church.

Jimmy is survived by two sisters, Nancy B. Bowman and husband, Cecil of Skipwith, VA and Sarah B. Hall and husband, Gene “Red Oak” of Clarksville, VA; his nephew and niece, whom he loved as his own children, Bret C. Bowman and wife, Kendal and Michelle W. Matthews and husband, Scott; great nieces and nephews, Audrey Bowman, Jake Bowman, Taylor Bowman, and Maddy Wood; and many cousins and friends.

The family will receive family and friends from 1 p.m. until 8 pm., Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Jimmy’s Residence, 80 Rock Ledge Drive, Clarksville, VA 23927. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Ephesus United Methodist Church, 3199 Trottinridge Road, Skipwith, VA 23968. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
