Allan Lester

Allan Boyd Lester, age 67, of South Boston, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020. He was born on January 10, 1953 in Charlotte County, Virginia to the late LeeRoy Lester and the late Bernice Smith Lester.

Allan was formerly employed at Burlington Industries in Clarksville for many years and a current employee at Market Express #2 in Chase City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Lester and sister, Helen Lester Toone.

Allan is survived by his sister, Brenda Shores; nieces and nephews, Clint Shores, Angela and John Taylor and their children, John and Rachel, Christina and Thomas Parrish and their children, TJ and David Parrish and Caitlin Hart, and Robert and Chrystal Toone and their children, Heather, Donna, and Allen; and his special friends, JJ and Don Bowman, Elsie Perkins, Chelsie Coleman, Mary Tinsley, V.P. Patel, Winifred Robertson and the girls at Market Express #2.

A private graveside service will be held at Wylliesburg Baptist Church Cemetery. A memorial service for Allan will be held at a later date once social gathering bans are lifted.
