Karen Simmons

Karen Denise Simmons, age 44, of Chase City, Virginia, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021. She was born November 22, 1976 in Halifax County, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Simmons and her sister, Cheryl Simmons Johnson.

Karen is survived by her mother, Mary Ruth Procise Simmons; two daughters, Starr Brianna Simmons and Ayanna Rae Washington; aunt, Sandra Crump (Victor); nephew, Michael S. Johnson, Jr.; and devoted friend, Abdul Washington.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Herman Newcomb officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Christian Church Cemetery.
