Cynthia Sherman

Cynthia Ann Sherman, age 72, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Friday, October 1, 2021. She was born August 25, 1949 in Leaksville, North Carolina to the late Neal Allen Sherman and the late Violet Ellen Stuart Sherman.

She was a dedicated employee at the W S Hundley Annex Center in South Hill for 30 years. She loved gardening and taking in and caring for cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Sherman and nephew, Neal Sherman.

Cynthia is survived by her son, Timothy Allen Sherman (Natasha Hayes Sherman); granddaughter, Tamia Alani Sherman; brother, William Sherman; sister-in-law, Sharon Sherman; nieces and nephews, Erik Sherman, Kevan Sherman, Robert Sherman and Heather Shymansky; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home in Chase City. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Woodland Cemetery in Chase City.
