Martha Anne Crowe Leach

Martha Anne Crowe Leach, age 73, of Chase City, VA, passed away on July 15, 2011. She is the daughter of the late Edward S. Crowe and Sadie Williams Crowe. She is survived by her husband Stephen Hoyle Leach, two daughters, Peggy Duffey and husband Bobby of Chase City, VA, and Amy Gupton and husband Ray of Chase City, VA, one son, Steven Gallion of Chester, VA, one sister, Linda Crowe of Roxboro, NC, one brother, Ray Crowe of Amelia, VA, three grandchildren, Stephanie Tharpe of Chase City, VA, Seth Gupton of Chase City, VA, and Avery Gupton of Chase City, VA, three great-grandchildren, Madison Duffey, Jacob Duffey, and Conner Duffey, and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Concord Baptist Church, played softball until she was in her 40’s for the Chase City Belles, and loved books. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 4 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church. Visitation will begin one hour prior of the service. Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
