David Mills

David Stokes Mills, 69, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023. He was born October 25, 1953 and was the son of the late Walter Milton Mills and the late Mary Bigger Mills. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Milton Mills. 

David is survived by his wife, Linda Gail Mills of Chase City; two step-sons, Dakota Ryan West of Skipwith and Carl Edward West II (Laci) of Kentucky; a grandson on the way; an aunt, Hilda Reese; many cousins; and his beloved fur babies, Maxine and Minnie. He is also survived by his devoted friends whom he considered family, Wirt Hamilton and family and Chris Metts and family. 

David was an avid member of Arrowhead Gun Club, he loved skeet-shooting and was a dedicated sponsor for the youth skeet shooting competitions. He enjoyed wood-working and building things for his family. He loved visiting the Outer Banks and fishing from the shores. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Chase City with Pastor Herman Newcomb officiating.
