Etta Lee Lewis

Etta Lee Evans Lewis, 94, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022. She was born February 12, 1928 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Tommy Evans and the late Laura Hendrick Evans. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Edward Lewis; and two brothers, Oscar Evans and James Evans. 

Etta is survived by her son, William Edward “Bill” Lewis; one grandson, Terry Lee Lewis (Christy); great-grandchildren, Dixie Nicole Lewis, Coby Lee Lewis, Katie Elizabeth Lewis, Tristin James Lewis, Summer Bohrer, and Emily Rose Lewis; and great-great-grandchildren, Kaizer Keller and Legend Allen Lewis. She is also survived by two nieces, Jurlean Hite and Bernice Hite and two nephews, Dennis Evans and David Evans. 

She was a member of Easters United Methodist Church. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Easters United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
