Joan Lenhart Wilson

Violet Joan Lenhart Wilson, 85, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was born in Chase City on September 13, 1939 to the late James Carl Lenhart and the late Elizabeth Johnson Lenhart. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Braxton Wilson; brother, Jimmy Lenhart; and sister, Elsie Shelton. 

Joan is survived by her children, Wanda Wilson Dixon (Tommie), Tammy Wilson Johnson (Mark) and James “Jim” Wilson (Michelle) all of Chase City; her grandchildren, Joshua Wilson and JT. Johnson IV; great-grandchildren, Johnny Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Christopher Johnson and Madison Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was a life long member of Friendship United Methodist Church and the devoted owner and operator of Chase City Flower Shop. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery.
