Joshua Anthony “Josh” Clark, 35, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025. He was born May 15, 1989 and is the son of James Anthony “Tony” Clark and Deborah Puryear Clark.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, A.G. Puryear and his paternal grandmother, Carole Barwick.

Josh is survived by his parents, Tony and Deborah Clark of Chase City; sister, Taylor Clark (Zach Taydus); maternal grandmother, Jean Puryear; paternal grandfather, Rodney Barwick; special friends, Bryan Allgood, Aaron Allgood, Jacob Pennington, James Burney, Gregory Rogers and Brad Moore; and numerous other loving family members.

Josh was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Red Oak, Virginia. He was a 2007 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School and then received an Associate’s Degree. He was a Salesman for Lake Gaston Jet Ski & Powersports. Josh enjoyed landscaping, grilling, and listening to podcasts. He loved books, music, and animals, and he felt most at home in nature. The family encourages you to plant your favorite flower or tree in his memory.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Bryan Allgood officiating.
