Kenneth Warren Blankenship, 73, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023. He was born September 27, 1950 and was the son of the late Rayvon Blankenship and the late Viola Blankenship.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Scott Blankenship and his brother, Nelson Blankenship.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Julia Blankenship Bailey; step-children, Brandy King Hansberry (Michael) and Chad Earl King (Holly) and grandchildren, Colby Bailey (Olivia), Autumn Blankenship (Brittany), McKinley Walsh, Hank Walsh, Mary Ashley Tucker, Noah Forbes, Skyla King, and Dylan Scott Martin. He is also survived by his sisters, Susan Panther and Phyllis Hawks and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kenneth had the best sense of humor and loved telling jokes. He loved music, playing guitar and formerly played in a band. He enjoyed riding on the boat but above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 8, 2023 at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel.
