Marlene Wallace

Marlene Walters Wallace, 87, of Lunenburg County, Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023. She was born November 28, 1935 in Harnett County, NC and was the daughter of the late Willie C. Walters and the late Mattie Black Walters. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Warren Wallace, Jr.; daughter, Debra Hunt: son, Willie Wallace; brother, Monroe Walters; and two sisters, Colleen Dupriest and Pauline Walters. 

Marlene is survived by her children, Linda Price of Drakes Branch, Beverly Berkley of Drakes Branch, George W. Wallace III (Liz) of Victoria, and Aubrey Wallace of Drakes Branch; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Wallace; grandchildren, Wayne Wallace (Ashley), Tommy Wallace, Kenneth Daniel (Melanie), Mickey Womack, Kenneth Wallace (Heather), Douglas Wallace, and Joshua Wallace; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Thomas, Westley, Remington, and Colton; special caregiver, Mary Jasper; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was a member of Plantersville United Methodist Church. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed cooking, especially making biscuits. She was very soft spoken but never met a stranger. She loved reading, stuffed animals, watching birds outside and watching her favorite shows on TV. 

A graveside service will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Plantersville United Methodist Church in Fort Mitchell, VA. Pastor Greg Nolan will officiate.
