Maxine Seate Jackson

Maxine Seate Jackson, age 90, of Skipwith, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023. She was born May 6, 1933 in Nelson, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Jacob Albert Seate and the late Annie Sue Puryear Seate. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Jackson, Sr.; daughter, Jacqueline Jackson; grandson, Jason Jackson; brothers, Worth Seate, Carl Seate, Sylvester Seate, Otis Seate, Paige Seate and Glenn Seate; and sisters, Lois Clayton and Ruth James. 

Maxine is survived by three sons, Robert Lee Jackson, Jr. (Laura) of Scottsburg, Timothy Mark Jackson (Rebecca) of Skipwith, and Kenneth Jacob Jackson (Peggy) of Green Sea, SC; one daughter, Patricia Jackson Hash (David) of Skipwith; grandchildren, Chris Covington (Toni), Nathan Covington, Joshua Jackson (Clara), Zachary Jackson, Jennifer Jackson (Chris), Jessica Jackson (Hugh), Kenneth Ivy, Tonya Zitvogel, Matthew Hash, and Skylar Hash; great-grandchildren, Harper, Nolan, McKinley, Brooklyn, Lainey, Connor, McKenzie, Brinkley, and Dakota; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Maxine was a homemaker; she enjoyed sewing and making clothes, reading, and sending cards and letters to all of her family. 

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, 1260 Wilkerson Road, Skipwith, Virginia 23968. Pastor Mike Reynolds will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the gravesite.
