Ruby Reamey

Ruby Jane Dodson Reamey, 82, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023. She was born June 7, 1941 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel Dodson.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Wesley “Spunky” Reamey and her brother, Willie A. Dodson. 

Ruby is survived by her sons, Wesley Dean Reamey (Lydia Shearin) and Curtis Marvin Reamey (Jessie Solomon); grandchildren, Samantha Reamey, Tony Reamey, Crystal Reamey, and Tiffany Lynch; and great-grandchildren, Hailee Evans, Shane Evans, Nathan Reamey, Kaitlyn Gittman, and Katie Lynch. She is also survived by her brother, Luther Dodson (Patricia); sister, Betty Bowers; brother-in-law, Kenneth Reamey; numerous nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Audrey Otero.

Ruby retired from Burlington Industries in Clarksville, Virginia. She enjoyed being at home and loved watching Westerns. 

A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Easters United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2779 Easters Road, Boydton, VA 23917. A reception will follow at Easters Hunt Club.
