Willott H. Adams, 90, of Clarksville, Virginia passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at his residence. He was born August 13, 1934 in Lunenburg County, Virginia and was the son of the late Harim Thomas Adams and the late Nora Bradshaw Adams. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Newton Adams; son, Clint Fonda Mathenia; and twelve brothers and sisters. 

Willott is survived by his daughter, Brenda Adams Lavagnino and her husband, Michael of Florida; son, Barry Warren Adams and his wife, Lisa of Chase City; grandchildren, Amanda Center (Matthew), Catherine Lavagnino (Dan), Michelle Lavagnino, Tonya Adams, and Brittany Dooley (Greg); step-grandchildren, Derrick Allgood (Brandi), Samantha Honeycutt (Timothy); and great-grandchildren, Bentleigh Cross, Wyatt Cross, Samantha Jo Center, Colin Center, Clayton Rickman, Olivia Adams, Brady West, Isabella Mancini, Machlan Roark, and Kyzlynn Honeycutt. He is also survived by a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law that were always there for him lending a helping hand, Richard and Nellie Newton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Edna Comer; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Cheryl Gibbons. 

Willott was a United States Army Veteran and a long-time attendee of Friendship United Methodist Church where he served as Treasurer and Cemetery Official. He was a member of The Ruritans in Clarksville and enjoyed the dances on Friday night. In 2022, he was awarded Ruritan of the Year. He was formerly employed for Tucker Bevell as a Repair Technician and at True Value as a Salesman. He was a “jack of all trades” and could fix anything. Willott’s favorite pastime was boating and skiing on the lake with his family. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Fry and Pastor Jacob Thomasson officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in La Crosse, VA. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
